17th-Sep-2005 05:13 pm - Robert in an Eminem video?
I was at IMDB, looking up stuff about Robert and the kids (can you believe three of his five kids are into show biz too??) and I saw in his credits "Eminem E."

Being an Eminem fan, of course I had to check this out. It said Robert was the narrator for "Guilty Conscience." I grabbed my Slim Shady LP, checked the credits, and no mention of Robert. Then I thought, Oh yeah, I have the video of that song! Well, I HAD the vid of that song. I deleted it because it's not really one of my favorites and I had to free up space on my hard-drive.

Well, I just downloaded it again, and I'll be dipped, but there's Robert Culp. I knew it started out with the narrator talking, so I closed my eyes to hear the voice, not knowing they were going to SHOW him, and when he began to speak, I said, YEP, that's Robert all right! They show him throughout the three segments; it's not just a voice-over.

OK, I already knew RC was cool as hell, but to work on an uncensored Eminem video? One of my two favorite musical artists? I'm in awe of that man. Heck, of both men, that Eminem would have someone as cool as Robert in one of his vids.

(Afterburn: I guess we should add drawing/art to Robert's resume; the inside cover art of the DVD case for "The Warlord" says "Original drawing by Robert Culp.")
